Rate Cases

Since 1979, Binz has participated in numerous utility ratemaking cases, representing a variety of clients, ranging from AARP, to an association of farmers and irrigators, to low-income consumers, and a large industrial electric customer.  Here are examples of recent rate case testimony.

• Testimony on behalf of AARP before the Wyoming Public Service Commission concerning cost of service methodology and a proposed low-income discount rate.
   
• Testimony on behalf of AARP before the Wyoming PSC concerning the Hunter plant outage.
   
• Testimony on behalf of Astaris, LLC before the Idaho Public Utilities Commission concerning capacity buy-back rates.
   
• Testimony on behalf of Catholic Charities of Metropolitan Denver and the Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation before the Colorado PUC concerning consumer discount rates and the Incentive Cost Adjustment of Public Service Company of Colorado.
