Ron Binz is currently advising AARP-Wyoming on the Choice Gas Program of Kinder Morgan
Gas Company.
He
advised the Missouri Office of Public Counsel in a tariff case
in which Missouri Public Service (UtiliCorp) proposed to extend competitive choices for natural
gas to commercial customers.
He
represented and advised the Georgia
Office of Consumer Utility Counsel (CUC) in lengthy legislative and
regulatory proceedings on natural gas restructuring enacted by the Georgia legislature and implemented by the Georgia Public Service Commission.
There were major problems with implementation of the gas choice program, due mainly to rate design
issues favored by the utilities, which the CUC had warned the legislature about early on.
Unfortunately, the CUC was not successful in convincing the lawmakers to amend the
authorizing statute.

natural gas unbundling, one of which is posted below.
