Since 1979, Ron Binz has worked with many low-income advocacy organizations to champion programs for low income consumers.  These efforts have included representing low-income interests in utility proceedings, service on the board of the Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation, and lobbying for energy and telecommunications Lifeline programs.  Here are some examples:
  • Testimony on behalf of AARP in Wyoming proposing a discount rate targeted to low-income electric rates.
     
  • Comments before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission on behalf of the Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation.
     
  • Member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation from 1995 to 2002.
