Ron Binz has been involved with the issue of intercarrier compensation and access charges since 1982.  He is currently advising the Colorado Office of Consumer Counsel in a case involving reform of intrastate access charges in Colorado.

On behalf of the Competition Policy Institute, Binz authored several sets of comments filed at the FCC on the subject of access charge reform.  The representative comments below concern the access charge restructure plan adopted by the FCC (which CPI supported) and the CALLS petition approved by the FCC (which CPI opposed.)
